Governance

The PRE-EST Board is the central decision-making body of the consortium. The Board is composed by one representative of each of the partners and will be regularly informed of the development of the project. This body is responsible for adopting any correcting measure required when deviations from the expected project plan appear.

The Executive Committee is composed by the Project Manager, the Technical Director and all WP leaders and represents the body where the developments of all actions are controlled; ensuring an appropriate communication between different WPs. Unexpected deviations from the work-plan should be initially discussed and solved within this group. The Coordinator shall be informed by the Project Manager and shall approve those recommendations that require major changes in the plan.

The Coordinator is the legal entity acting as single contact point with European Commission. The Coordinator shall, in addition to its responsibilities as a Party, perform the tasks assigned to it as described in the EC-GA and this Consortium Agreement. The Coordinator will ensure an effective internal communication strategy by supervising the deployment of the communication channels proposed for the project. The Scientific Advisory Board, comprising international scientific experts representing different stakeholder communities, will assist and facilitate the decisions made by the General Assembly and provide advice to the Steering Committee and Coordinator. 

The Project Manager is the main responsible for the regular communication with the work packages and task leaders to make sure that the developments and schedule are carried out within the expectations of the project plan. The Work Package Leaders manage and coordinates on a day-to-day basis the activities of their respective Work Packages into detailed working plans and for ensuring deliverables associated with respective work-packages are met.
