European Astronomical Society Annual Meeting 2024

 

The annual meeting of the European Astronomical Society (EAS2024) was held from July 1-5, 2024 in Padova, Italy.

This event is regarded by the EAS as an opportunity for the scientific community to exchange ideas and advancements in their research, as well as to create a strong collaboration network within the field.

On Friday, July 5, several talks related to EST were given in the instrumentation session of Symposium 15 "High-Resolution Solar Observations in the Time, Space, and Spectral Domains”.

 

 

The presentations were as follows:

  • Miguel Núñez – 'EST Preliminary Design: Status and Future Steps' (Invited)
  • Miguel Núñez – 'EST Telescope Expected Performance'
  • Marta Belío – 'EST Optical Design'
  • Luis Bellot – 'The Tunable Imaging Spectropolarimeters/Fixed Band Imagers for the European Solar Telescope'
  • Göran Scharmer – 'CRISP and CHROMIS as pathfinders for the European Solar Telescope Fabry-Pérot systems'
