On 24 March, a small Slovakian town called Lučenec hosted an event organised every month by the Slovak Academy of Sciences (SAS) under the name 'Vivat Scientia!'. During this activity, Peter Gömöry, Director of the Astronomical Institute of the Slovak Academy of Science and Vice President of the EST Canarian Foundation Board of Trustees, presented some details of the EST project to the public.
