On December 16, 2022, the students of Santa Sabina Domenican College (Dublin, Ireland) visited the Dublin Institute for Advanced Studies (DIAS) Dunsink Observatory, where they were presented with the third prize of the EST School Contest "The Sun at a glance". Sadhbh Leahy and Camille Stock, from DIAS Public Engagement Office, introduced the Coronado 70mm Solar Telescope awarded to the school that participated in the infographics competition about the Sun.
The students, accompanied by their teacher Paul Nugent, made a tour throughout the Dunsink Observatory visiting the South Telescope. They also participated in a workshop about the principles of astronomical observations and how telescopes work, having the chance of talking with the astronomers about their careers and experiences.
