On 28 September 2022, the EST project held a presentation led by the President of the Council of La Palma, Mr. Mariano Hernández Zapata, along with other authorities from the regional government of the island that will host the European Solar Telescope.
The event took place at the Espacio Cultural CajaCanarias in Santa Cruz de La Palma, where the documentary "Reaching for the Sun" was also screened.
The event was attended by the Science Advisory Group and PRE-EST Board members present on the island for the PRE-EST final meeting.
