The European Solar Telescope is a member of a coordinated effort to prepare ESFRI facilities and other pan-European infrastructures of astronomy, astroparticle, and particle physics for the European Open Science Cloud Initiative (EOSC).
ESCAPE is a collaborative cluster that brings together ESFRI projects in the area of astronomy and accelerator-based particle physics. The main goal of this cluster is to produce versatile solutions in data-driven research, with great potential for discovery, to support the implementation of EOSC thanks to open data management, cross-border and multi-disciplinary open environment, according to FAIR (Findable, Accessible, Interoperable and Reusable) principles.
EST has been featured in the latest ESCAPE Newsletter published in July 2021. The article explains the benefits for the solar physics community of an efficient curation of the huge data volume that EST will provide and the archiving and publication of existing and upcoming ground-based solar observations.
