EST has been presented to the Japanese community in the frame of the bilateral symposium "Big Infrastructures of Astrophysics: synergies and cooperation between Spain and Japan".
This meeting has been celebrated at the Spanish Embassy in Japan, and it has been organised by the IAC and the Tokio University. Manolo Collados (IAC) has explained the details of the EST project to a group of Spanish and Japanese astrophysicist involved in big infrastructures for astronomy. Carmen Vela (Spanish Secretary of State of Investigation, Development and Innovation) and Saku Tsuneta (Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency, JAXA) also attended the meeting in which Manolo Collados has talked about the importance of a telescope who is set to be the cornerstone of European Solar Physics the next decades.
