Applications are invited for the full-time position of a working group leader at the Instituto de Astrofísica de Andalucía (IAA-CSIC), Granada, Spain, to work on the communication, education and outreach European Solar Telescope (EST) during its Preparatory Phase. 

The selected candidate will join the IAA-CSIC, taking responsibility for coordinating and carrying out the communication, education and dissemination plan of the PRE-EST project, in close collaboration with the Solar Physics Group and the IAA-CSIC Office of Scientific Culture .

The IAC (Tenerife) invites applications for one Project Manager within the framework of the project “Preparatory Phase for EST: PRE-EST” (ref.: H2020-739500) led by Dr. Manuel Collados Vera.

Main responsibilities: Exploration of possible legal and governance frameworks that can be used by funding agencies of the European Solar Telescope (EST); define an initial organisational structure prior to the one that will finally be implemented; explore funding programs for EST; culminate the work on the final selection of the site; foster industrial collaboration and improve strategic linkages with national and international agencies. To achieve these objectives, a series of work packages have been defined, the manager will monitor and coordinate the proposed activities.

Applications are invited for the full-time position of a working group leader at the Kiepenheuer-Institut für Sonnenphysik (KIS), Freiburg, Germany, to work on the governance structure of the European Solar Telescope (EST).

The successful candidate will lead and coordinate work of an international working group which is tasked with developing the governance structure of the European Solar Telescope during construction and operational phases. He/She will carry out studies of existing inter-governmental scientific organizations and research infrastructures, and prepare the definition of the bodies and the governance scheme for the EST. He/She will prepare and follow-up meetings of the working-group. He/She will collaborate with other EST teams who are tasked with the definition of the legal and financial structure of the EST.
