PROJECT QUALITY ASSURANCE RESPONSIBLE

Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Responsible of the Quality Assurance in the hole frame of the Project (the Project and the Product).
  2. Under the approval of the System Engineer and the authorization of the Project Manager Elaborate procedures to be followed by PO.
  3. Define Engineering Standards, regulations and good practices, enforce and ensure their application, i.e. documents, drawings, models, processes.
  4. Definition, Implementation, Integration and management of project tools: Engineering tools (development and management tools) e.g Redmine or JIRA.
  5. Define with the Project Manager the project management plan, scope, WBS, responsibilities, risks.
  6. Organize with the Systems Engineer the necessary revisions in the project.
  7. Selection of software tools for requirements traceability (e.g. Doors).
  8. Control of all PO documentation, drawings and models in a DB like environment.

Desirable:

  1. Participate in the definition of the global control architecture, covering the entire life cycle of the project, from the design phase, through the implementation, reaching the exploitation and re-engineering phases.
  2. Quality control through FMEA / FMECA and RAMS analysis at system and subsystems level.

COMPUTER ENGINEER (ENGINEERING TOOLS DEVELOPER)

Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Evaluation, installation and configuration of servers and tools for management of documentation, tasks, requirements, configuration control, PLM software, etc.
  2. Development of specific software tools to allow the information to be traced between different systems, based on the concept tests carried out by the IAC staff.
  3. Development of specific user interfaces that allow the engineering, administration or project management team to perform their tasks comfortably and efficiently.
  4. Coordination of the implementation and maintenance with the staff of the Common or Specific IT Systems area of the IAC.
  5. Capture of the requirements of potential users and adaptation of the solution to their needs and comfort.
  6. Team training in the use of the tools.
  7. Preparation of the use and maintenance documentation.
  8. Preparation of the documentation of design, development and testing of the solution.
  9. Design and execution of validation plans of the tools.10. Communication and collaboration with the staff of the rest of the open software development projects with which the solution to be implemented can be related.

CIVIL ENGINEER

Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Participation in the building assessment in the proposed sites for EST in OT and ORM observatories.
    2. Identification and management of the necessary permits for requesting the construction license in the selected observatory.
    3. Prepare constructive feasibility report in each proposed site and observatories.
    4. Prepare logistics report for the telescope operation in each observatory.
    5. Identify the preliminary studies that will be necessary to validate the location at the selected site.
    6. Management and contracting of soil quality studies, environmental impact and others.
    7. Management of the necessary permits to carry out civil works in the observatory.
    8. Design of electrical interfaces, communications, water and wastewater between the observatories network of and the telescope.
    9. Participate in the consolidation of the conceptual design of the building, location and access to the telescope.
    10. Contacts / contracts with industry / institutions.
    11. Participation in the preparation of assembly, integration and testing plans.
    12. Prepare technical documentation reporting results of the studies and designs.

NOTICE: For this position is mandatory to speak Spanish and to have a degree officially recognized by the Spanish Ministry of Education.
